Twilight is not a terrible book. It's amazing. and yes, i agree. Gaspard Ulliel would of been amazingly perfect to play Edward, Actually when i was reading all of the series i pictured Edward as him. I don't mind the fact that Robert Pattinson got the part though, He worked very hard for it, and trained. He hides his British accent very well!
No, I agree with the Anonymous before me. Twilight was a terrible book. Too predictable, too cliché, too bad over all. There doesn't seem to be slightest bit of depth to it either.
Twilight is like my favorite book ever and it's really good. If it is terrible how would it be so big and popular? Anyways, I think that Gaspard and Robert Pattinson are both perfect for Edward. If I had to pick between the two of them i couldn't they are both amazing.
Many many terrible books are extremely popular. Twilight is written for the lowest common denominator, by the lowest common denominator, as such, it connects with many people. This does not make it good. "Twilight is like my favorite book ever"... I rest my case.
It's a lot of peoples favortie books and some people completely despise it. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it terrible. It may make it terrible to you but not to everyone. It just doesn't fit your taste in books. So don't be a hater and stop complaining if you dont like it. Just deal with it. Some people will like it and others will not.
"Twilight is like my favorite book ever and it's really good. If it is terrible how would it be so big and popular?" well, sweetie, books like twilight are so popular because they're easy to read. you dont have to make any effort to understand them, you can even predict what's going to happen in the next chapter. they have a complete lack of depth. and well, like most of people can't read more difficult books...
Okay, he's hot. He's one of those naturally beautiful guys that no matter how bad his hair looks or whatever ridiculous outfit he wore, he'd be gorgeous. But Pattinson, he's got to get all dolled up to look like that in the movies... oh well, he's scruffy-gorgeous.
Well anyway, Although I have to admit I've read all 4 of Stephenie Meyer's books and kind of liked Twilight the movie, I have to agree with the people that do not like Twilight. (It's a little cool to have Meyer come from my hometown but still...) The special affects were low budget and hilarious when not intended. The script was terrible; how did Bella automatically trust Edward after he told her he was a vampire?? At least some of her narration would have been enlightening there. Back to my point, The books are very predictable. She gives so many foreshadows in the beginning of the novel; it's a little disappointing that nothing is a mystery. The plot lines are rushed like in the movie and it's a little boring. A big reason why the books are so popular is because of teenage girls-- we wish to be Bella. Meyer is a mediocre novelist. But she only focuses on a small group of people for it to become a success whereas J.K. Rowling's books are more universal and has a diverse age group of fans. That is another reason why I prefer Rowling over Meyer. With J.K. Rowling, you never expected the outcome and the movies are great (excluding the first and second which were "okay"). But I really want to find a library so I can check out some Mitch Albom's like The Five People You Meet In Heaven. At least I've been recommended to read it by someone older than 18.
I love Gaspard Ulliel! He is disturbingly gorgeous.
But, Twilight is the biggest literary catastrophe I have ever seen. I read the book before it became this huge hype and I loathed it. People read it because Meyer has the complete inability to string together complex sentences.
I am an art student, I tend to find myself saving photos all of the time to use as referance material. I also wanted to create a blog in which I would find people who have simular taste as I do because I have yet to find any blog or website to show cases my "type"

It's too bad, he would have been *perfect* to play the character Edward in the the Twilight series. Ah, well.
;)
That's sooo true. Unfortunately, Robert Pattinson got the part. Ehh, He's a nice pick 2.

Sorry, but the Twilight series is one of the worst series I've ever read and the movies are worse. That's just my opinion.
